PEAK PERFORMANCE
5 simple steps to achieve Peak Performance for your customers and your store.

FACT: According to the APMA, more than 70% of Americans experience foot problems of greater or lesser degree of seriousness at some point in their lives. Less than 1% have orthotic footwear to help with these issues.

Lead your customers to footwear solutions. Achieve Peak Performance for them outside the store plus additional sales for you inside the store.

ENGAGING

1. Does your store measure feet?

YES: “Now, as you may know, shoes that are marked as the same size often fit quite differently, so I need to take a few seconds to measure your feet please.”

Measuring takes place.

Then, “One last question before I bring out some shoes. Many of our customers have any number of problems or issues with their feet, like heel pain or knee pain. So on a normal day for you how do your feet feel?”

NO: “OK, just before I bring out the shoes I have one more quick question. Many of our customers have any number of problems or issues with their feet, like heel pain or knee pain. So on a normal day for you how do your feet feel?”

IF THE CUSTOMER HAS NO PROBLEMS: “OK.” Then continue selling as normal.

IF THE CUSTOMER HAS PROBLEMS: “OK, I have a few ideas for you that might be able to help with that.” Then please follow steps two through five.

LEADING

2. Bring out a few Vionic styles so they can experience the unique support. In addition to the other shoes you were showing them, have them try Vionic on. (Rather than just asking if the customer would like to see something.)

3. Explain Vionic footwear is designed by a podiatrist, many styles have received the approval of the APMA. This will help them understand how the technology can help them.

PROPOSING

4. Use the 30-Day Comfort Guarantee, if necessary, to reassure your customer that you really believe the technology can help them and that is essentially a “no risk” purchase. (This guarantee also helps make Vionic a multiple sale option for you.)

5. Let them know “For the greatest comfort, we suggest wearing your Vionic shoes for a few hours at a time for the first few days to allow your body to adapt to our biomechanical technology.”
